Known Issue: PDF's and Web Serving error
Summary
Web servers that don't correctly handle byte serving may cause browser errors.
Issue
Trying to view a PDF in a browser results in the error "Object Label Badly Formatted".
Solution
If you get this error using different browsers and/or different operating systems, it is likely to be caused by the web server trying to serve the PDF. This error occurs when an object in the PDF is incomplete or missing some key element. In this case, it could be caused by the web server not downloading enough of the object to make it usable. This is usually caused by incorrect byte serving of the PDF. If you turn off byte range requests, by unchecking the Acrobat prefence, Allow Fast Web View, it should make the error go away, although viewing of the PDF will be slower.
