Can I create a workflow that allows users to edit an ID document in InCopy?

Issue:
We would like to edit ID stories in InCopy with copyfit. I can see that InCopy has a basic understanding of InDesign's file-format so I'm wondering if I could have InCopy open an InDesign document that does not have links to InCopy documents and allow InCopy to edit the stories and save the changes back into an InDesign document.

Solution:
InCopy really needs those links. InCopy can open and, with a little extra work, edit InDesign Documents, but it doesn't know how to write them back out to the InDesign format. InCopy is dependent on the links to the InCopy files in order to save.

So in short, no, you can't really edit InDesign stories in InCopy.
