Known Issue: Avoid loading CMYK JPEGs into Adobe Server

Summary
Avoid loading CMYK JPEGs into Adobe Server because of color management issues.

Issue
I saved a CMYK jpeg with a color profile from Photoshop but when I process it in Adobe Server, the colors are wrong. (It appears that Adobe Server is not color managing the image but is treating it as if it were sRGB.)

Applies to
Adobe Graphics Server
Adobe Document Server

Solution
Use TIFF or PSD formats for CMYK files to be loaded into Adobe Server. CMYK jpeg's can be converted to PSD or TIFF within Photoshop

Note: Adobe Server can't save CMYK JPEGs. The saveOptimized command is for Web formats and requires that content be in the RGB color space.
